Hi everyone
Thought I'd better update this thing, getting a few hassles (-'
Not a whole lot of news sadly. Just been doing the usual. Had term break, so no Playcentre or swimming for a couple of weeks - Jack and I had to find other ways to amuse ourselves. As you can see in the photos, Jack did not really have a problem!
We've been for a couple of nice walks lately. The first was in Rimutaka Forest Park - this place is tucked away over the Wainui Hill and has lots of tracks from an hour to days long. We opted for a two-ish hour long one. As you can tell, it was a little bit chilly even though it was a beautiful day with the winter sun shining. We warmed up pretty quick lugging Jack who sat back snug as a bug.
After the hike, we detoured to the beach briefly - it was a bit too cold but we'll definitely be going back there to enjoy it in the summer.
This is such a beautiful picture of my boys (-:
Next walk was along the Kapiti Coast, from Queen Elizabeth Park along to Raumati. We had lunch at a cool cafe (can't remember the name, but M&D W we'll take you there). Jack had a little run around and loved seeing some dogs out exercising and a wee plane overhead, flying from the model airplane club nearby.
hmmm, it's getting hard to photograph the wee man sometimes!
Other than that, it's just work and home. Chasing after Jack is full time, no make that double time! Adding to his repertoire - he now also says bubba, Big Bird (bib-bi), ball and dohdoh (for gumboots, shoes or socks). We went and had a look at Montesorri School yesterday and we're going along to the playgroup tomorrow. Plenty of time to decide schools (I think), although some friends are on a waiting list for high school already and have been told they may not get in as family lines get priority! Also starting this term Jack's doing Gym Fun - we seriosly need an outlet for all that energy!!!
Gossip wise - Brad and Michelle are expecting a baby (Feb I think), Haley and Yosmani have bought a house is Mallorca and Kyla and Aidan have moved into thier new home in Woodville. Not as exciting - we are finally getting some flooring down in the bathroom!! Stuart is slowly but surely getting there. Will show you the pics when it's done.
Well, gotta go, meeting Stuart after work. Ciao for now. Keep cool....
PS Go All Blacks!
